Theme: ‘The Mask We Wear’
Game jam made with a team of people from all over the world. Room render (on portfolio page) was made by the 3D artist on the team.

Pitch:
Will you overcome the loss you are facing? Or will it drag you down until it consumes you?
Synopsis:
Navigate the five stages of losing someone through dialogue choices. Player character (Sam) is a teenager who recently lost one of their closest friends (Alex). Player character blames himself because he was there when it happened. The friend got himself into an accident and didn't survive. Player character feels as though they are losing their sense of self while dealing with all of this.

My role:
Team Leader and Narrative Writer & Designer
My responsibilities:
Overall story and gameplay flow – made sure everything worked together coherently from level to level
Put together a pitch document
Wrote dialogue choices and memories for each character and level
Level layout – what the player needed to do (and the order of events) to get from level to level
What I could have improved upon:
Created dialogue which flowed more across the game (some of it did not match the serious tone we were going for)
Dialogue felt a bit rigid in certain areas because of the time constraint
Thought a bit more about level design and achievements for the player
